The equipment doesn’t come with a large price tag but the impact to expectant mothers in our community is huge.
This fetal doppler will be part of our Emergency Department to care for expecting mothers who present there for initial assessment. Having this on hand, means that nurses and doctors can quickly determine fetal well being. Determining fetal heart patterns is important to assess overall fetal health and whether interventions, such as early delivery may be warranted.
