Thanks to the generosity of LNG Canada at the 2025 KGHF Gala last fall, we were able to purchase an important new piece of equipment for Kitimat General Hospital.
There is often a journey between a generous donation and having new equipment on hand and ready to use. That journey is now complete, and our emergency team has a POCUS (Point of Care Ultrasound) machine available whenever they need it.
This portable ultrasound lets staff quickly look inside the body, identify serious conditions such as internal bleeding, and make important treatment decisions without radiation or unnecessary patient transfers.
For our patients, it means faster answers, faster treatment and safer care, right here in Kitimat.
LNG Canada presented a cheque for $64,100 toward the bedside ultrasound. LNG Canada continues to invest in local health care, and KGHF is grateful for their ongoing support.
